Staff Serving our church, our community and most importantly our Lord is one of the joys that we experince in life. We can be no more like Christ when we choose to serve people. There are far too many people to mention that give of their time and talents to care for others so the biggest part of our servers is our church family itself.
My name is John Racioppa and I am the Pastor here at WFBC. My wife Shelly and I have three children, Emilee, Mollie and John Luke. We also have two great son-in-laws as well. God led me to WFBC in April, 2010. My wife and I grew up in Texas and we both were raised in preachers homes. We have spent going on three decades serving God in the full-time ministry in 4 different states. I love being around people and find all areas of ministry fulfilling. I enjoy teaching the Word of God in a way that is compelling, life changing and often times humorous by interjecting my own personal life stories. My desire is first and foremost to see people saved and then to help Christ followers understand that God's Word is not an ancient, out of date book of stories but real and applicable to each and every life today. I enjoy spending time with my family, working outside and hunting...anywhere and anything. Oh I almost forgot, I am a HUGE fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers!
My name is Shannon Olson. I became the Office Manager here at WFBC in January of 2019 and the Children's Minister in 2020. Though I was born in Florida, I was blessed to move to Tennessee as a girl. This move put me on the pathway to meet my husband Jeff, a native Tennessean. We have four wonderful daughters, Brooke, Holli, Zoe and Julia. I have been privileged to stay home and home-school all of our girls.
I accepted Christ as a girl and have experienced His mercy, goodness, and comfort over and over in my life. I have witnessed his goodness and mercy time and again in the lives of others. I am excited and eager for the future Christ has in store for my family and my church! Seeing Christ move in all things, large and small, each and every day, and being a part of it is an awesome gift! Having WFBC as our family’s church home is a blessing and serving the church in this capacity is truly a privilege!
My happy place is anywhere I am with my family, but preferably camping and sitting by a fire! I enjoy nature in any capacity, walking in the woods, sitting on the side of a mountain or staring at the ocean. I also love basketball, but my knees don’t!
